It has been noticed that people are removing the new chairs from the Pool Pavilion. The table and chairs are to be used for people to eat and socialize in a shaded area. There are plenty of chairs outside of the Pavilion to use. The Pool Pavilion chairs are not to be moved outside of the Pavilion.
Robo Can delivery is soon. To update you, when they are delivered, you must use them on the next scheduled garbage pick-up and then place your empty current cans at the curb for them to pick up.
Once the new Robo Can pick-ups begin, NO plastic garbage bags are to be placed at the curb at all and all garbage must be in the Robo cans with the lids closed firmly. Recyclables must all fit inside the Robo Recycling can with the lid firmly closed. If you have excess, you may call BT for Bulk pick up scheduling.
The following info was discussed at the January Town Hall Meeting by the Mayor and DPW Director. Robo Cans were left at HH for several days for HH Homeowners to come and view. Those of you who have been calling and asking if you can choose your colors, the answer is a flat out NO! The colors have been chosen by the Township and are two different colors; one for recycling and one for regular garbage. You were also informed that unless you called before a certain date, you would receive the 65 Gallon size at no cost. Additional cans are at a cost to you. The cans all contain computer chips attached to your address in the event your can should be stolen or blow away. The Township will be able to track their location.
You can no longer place any garbage in black bags, or any bags at the curb. Garbage and recycling must be separated and in the designated cans. If your recycling dos not fit in your recycling can, you may not place it or anything at the curb. It will not be picked up. Accumulated garbage at the curb will result in a Berkeley Township violation Citation.
DO NOT combine garbage with recycling.
If, you would like more info, please visit the Berkeley Township Sanitation Website.
DO NOT CALL THE HH BOARD OR BUSINESS OFFICE. CALL BT DPW OR VISIT THEIR WEBSITE. Www.Twp.berkeley.nj.us/departments/public works/sanitation.php.
